Designer. Using feng shui principles I design interior and exterior spaces for both residential and commercial use.
Interests & hobbies
I have an insatiable appetite for books of all sorts of genres, although since moving to London I have been focusing on British history in general and London's in particular: Yoga, hiking, kayaking, surfing depending upon what is available in my locale. All things food whether growing, choosing, preparing or eating. Learning something new every day.
I have been fortunate to have had many opportunities to travel to and even live in many parts of this gorgeous globe. Anywhere in Europe is my "flavour of the month." Everywhere I travel it is important to me to balance the typical tourist experiences with those more authentic ones of the people living in that particular location. And to try the food, of course!
There is the beauty that is just a pleasure to endlessly behold like Grace Kelly, Jane Seymour, Vivien Leigh, Elizabeth Taylor. And then there is the beauty that encompasses the entire person and you think, ‘That is a beautiful woman that I would like to know and I would like to emulate,’ and for me this would be women like Katherine Hepburn and Lauren Bacall.
Best skincare advice
Do not smoke, do not tan, do not sleep in your make-up/SPF, DO take supplements, DO invest in good quality skin care products…and use them!
Favourite style of cooking?
I tend to cook seasonally with an emphasis on local and organic produce. As a result, I am always enjoying the availability of whatever happens to be in season.
The first book to have profound influence on me when I was about 8 or 9 years old is Beautiful Joe by Margaret Marshall Saunders. I still have the book.
I have a 10-year-old domestic short-haired cat and a 4-year-old Pomeranian who keeps the cat young and active.
